I got to Uniondale a bit late. I had two tickets and wanted to treat one of my employees to the show. I waited for him as long as I could, but he was unable to get off work early, so I had to leave without him.
I briefly tried to sell the extra ticket outside the Coliseum, but there where only scavangers hanging around looking for miracles. After hearing the opening notes to Jack Straw, I just gave the ticket to a spinner chick with armpit hair and filthy dreadlocks who smelled from body odor and patchouli. If I had known that the Grateful Dead would play Dark Star, I would have insisted on a blow job.
Bird Song was just stunning, seeing it live was simply mind blowing. I knew immediately after the first set concluded, that something very special was going to happen during the second set, although I was still surprised when I heard the openning notes of Dark Star...
